About Brandon
I am a resident of the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington state about 30 miles east of Seattle. I spend my time serving in my community, working live theatre tech, coordinating events, and enjoying the company of friends and family. One of my greatest drives in life is knowledge. I am constantly looking for new and exciting skills to devote time to.
Education I am a graduate of Mount Si High School class of 2005 and of Bellevue College class of 2009 giving me two Associates in Arts degrees. I enjoyed my time spent at both institutions and have made life-long connections at each. I don't currently have plans to take further formalized degree courses; however, I plan to continually learn throughout my life and expand my knowledge though self-taught exploration, user groups, lectures, and classes.
Community I enjoy spending time in my community and helping out where I am able. I am an active member of multiple community organizations where I am able to organize events, raise funds for local causes, and promote living in the Snoqualmie Valley. I have helped organize events such as game nights, run audio for live performances, create marketing materials for fund raisers, guide curriculum for a local high school, and much more.
Hobbies
Web multimedia development has been my longest running hobby. I believe this is because of the amount of flexibility and the variety of skill sets working together to make the possibilities endless. The ability to move from concept to published work in a very short amount of time only adds to the enjoyment.
I tend to find many technical projects relating to computers - it seems I always have one on a desk being configured for a new purpose. Since the early 2000's I have been increasingly interested in live audio production. I started running sound in the Snoqualmie Valley school district and continue to provide assistance to this day. In mid-2010 I decided to start acquiring my own equipment so I could continue the craft between productions.
Board games have been a part of my life since childhood. Over the years, my passion for them has only grown as I have found more games and people interested in them. I am in a leadership role of a nerd enthusiast group which meets regularly to play various games and I have also worked to organize a monthly community game night at the Sallal Grange.
Along with everything else mentioned, I have many fledgling hobbies such as: 3D Printing, micro electronics, juggling, playing the piano, tennis, bike riding, hiking, drawing, woodworking, graphics design, and video production.
